Virtual Visits
As a proactive safety measure, we will be offering virtual visits in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Please read all of the information on this page prior to your visit.
If you have questions or would like to reschedule, please call us at (434) 237-3376
How do I get to my virtual visit?
If you are scheduled for a visit, please go to your provider’s link below at the time of your appointment.
If you would like to schedule a virtual visit, please call us at (434) 237-3376.
Please use these links if you have an appointment only:
Dr. Ry Bohrnstedt’s Virtual Room
Dr. Kathy Herbert’s Virtual Room
What’s a virtual visit?
A virtual visit is a real-time, video conference with your doctor. If you need a prescription, it will be electronically sent to your desired pharmacy. If you need your blood drawn for lab tests, an order will be electronically sent for you so you can get labs done for high-risk medications or for any other concern.
What type of visits can be done virtually?
The following visits can be done virtually:
- New rashes, urgent rashes, or rash follow-ups
- Potential allergic reactions
- Eczema visits
- Acne visits
- Accutane (isotretinoin) follow-ups
- Hair loss follow-ups
- Nail evaluations and follow-ups
- Skin infection evaluations
- Cosmetic consultations
- Cosmetic follow-ups
How is a virtual visit billed?
A virtual visit is billed like all of our visits using the same fee schedule. If we accept your insurance, a claim for the virtual visit will be sent to your insurance. Coverage depends on your plan’s benefits. If you pay in full for your visits (self-pay or Cosmetic), then your payment will be due at the time of your virtual visit via credit card.
How do I schedule my virtual visit?
Please call us at (434) 237-3376 to schedule your visit.
What if I am a new patient?
New patients can schedule virtual visits also! Please follow these steps.
- Please be sure to fill out new patient registration forms in advance.
- Review the new patient info page.
- Send photos of the front and back of your insurance card here. Please note that without your insurance card and ID we will not be able to bill a claim to your insurance.
While we are doing our best to accommodate everyone, we completely understand that everyone may not be comfortable with sending their personal information via email. If you are not comfortable sending your ID and insurance information via email, you may pay for your visit in full as a self-pay patient or reschedule your appointment to a later date when we can see you in person.
We hope you enjoy the option to see your provider virtually. We look forward to seeing you soon!
